As a professional ornithologist, I am involved in societies that are dedicated to the study and conservation of birds – especially the American Ornithological Society (formerly American Ornithologists’ Union and Cooper Ornithological Society). Annual meetings are a great way to see cutting edge research and interact with other ornithologists at all career levels. See Professional Service.

Receiving a commissioned Steller’s Jay painting from the American Ornithologists’ Union and Cooper Ornithological Society at the 2014 meeting in Estes Park, Colorado. This beautiful painting was given in recognition of my work on a new joint society web site.
